Kathy Jones is a well-respected strategic communications and engagement advisor, known for her work to help CEOs, boards and senior management staff manage crises and policy change contexts. Since founding KJA in 2001, Kathy has provided high level strategic advice, issues management, leadership and project delivery for some of the nation’s major transport and infrastructure projects, including WestConnex, Northern Beaches Hospital and Barangaroo. At the heart of Kathy's work is her capacity to successfully manage her clients’ reputations and build solid and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Her strategic communications advice and issues management techniques are highly regarded in the transport, planning, development, infrastructure, health, education, energy, environment and not for profit sectors.
Executive Director, Operations
Darryl’s background delivering solutions for high profile, politically sensitive projects positions him as a leading communications and engagement specialist. His experience spans more than 30 years with extensive experience as a senior advisor for state and commonwealth ministers, including the Office of the Premier of NSW, Federal Minister for the Environment and Minister for the Arts. He has a detailed understanding of complex and sensitive environmental issues and the importance of balancing commercial considerations, community impacts and regulatory requirements. Darryl has recently worked closely with UrbanGrowth to deliver the Bays Precinct Transformation Plan and with Botany Bay Council to deliver their vision 2040. He is regularly engaged to provide strategic advice and guidance for projects facing contentious issues.
Executive Director, Practice
Natalie Boyd is one of Australia’s most respected communications and engagement strategists with over 20 years’ experience designing and delivering successful outcomes for clients across education, health, infrastructure, planning, environment and the arts. She has recently designed and co-facilitated a suite of council merger discussions for the Office of Local Government’s Fit for the Future program. Natalie is known for her expertise in managing complex and challenging stakeholder relationships on high profile and high impact projects, including the Sydney Airport Master Plan, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority’s Bays Precinct Plan and Health Infrastructure’s Northern Beaches Hospital redevelopment. She works extensively with local government to develop community strategic plans, conduct policy reviews and run deliberative democracy programs.
Andrew has held public sector leadership roles at Ministerial, Department and council levels for over 15 years’. A professional town planner, he has experience across industries including statutory and strategic planning and oil and gas. His expertise is in negotiating and delivering outcomes, having spent time in ministerial offices and departmental positions responsible for implementing major reforms. These have included the NSW Office of the Premier, NSW Office of the Minister for Planning, NSW Office of the Coordinator General and NSW Department of Planning. Andrew has the ability to overcome complex issues to deliver timely outcomes.
Debbie has a diverse range of experience throughout a number of industries including financial services, construction, mining, telecommunications and education. With a strong foundation in strategic development and project management, Debbie has developed positive working relationships with Government entities, not for profit organisations, community groups, small businesses, and large ASX listed companies. Experience influencing at the Executive level preparing Board materials and exposure to managing large teams, suppliers and multi-million dollar budgets has ensured Debbie has the confidence and credentials to understand business drivers and add value in both corporate and government environments. With a strong focus on the delivery of outcomes and an ability to drive change in large corporations, Debbie helps businesses achieve their strategic priorities.
Paula is a strategic communications and engagement practitioner with sixteen years’ experience in senior levels in State and Local Government. She is experienced in working with the most senior levels of government and delivering results. Paula was a Chief of Staff in the NSW Government with responsibilities across Housing, Roads, Tourism, Regional Development and Western Sydney. She was responsible for delivering reforms in heavy vehicle legislation, public housing maintenance programs, fraud legislation and the securing of the Emirates’ Wolgan Valley resort for NSW. Paula is highly experienced in managing communications and issues for national media stories. For the last six years, Paula has held senior roles with a number of Victorian regional and rural Councils, managing highly successful community engagement programs.
Scott is an internationally experienced senior executive with over ten year’s success in Australia, New Zealand and China. Scott has expertise in stakeholder and government relations, business development, strategy formulation and delivery. Scott has strong collaboration and relationship management skills with a proven track record of aligning business objectives, culture and stakeholder priorities to deliver great results for clients and stakeholders alike.
Tricia Wunsch is a senior corporate affairs professional with 25 years’ international experience with a diverse background in telecommunications, entertainment, infrastructure, emergency management, energy and resources.
With a substantial career as an executive in the corporate and public sectors complementing her track record in consulting, Tricia has proven her ability to thrive in fast-paced and complex environments and quickly adapt strategies to changing business needs and priorities. With an inclusive style that focusses on collaboration, Tricia is a strong leader and valuable member of any project team. Specialist experience includes media relations, government affairs, stakeholder and community engagement, crisis and issues management and internal communications.
