The Warren Centre Governors lunch with The Hon Andrew Constance MP
As one of the many beneficiaries of the infrastructure boom in NSW, KJA were very pleased to be able to sponsor The Warren Centre’s Governors lunch on Monday 20 February.
This monthly event is an opportunity for the Warren Centre’s Governors, Board, Executive and their guests to network with key influencers in Sydney. This month’s speaker was The Hon Andrew Constance MP, NSW Minister for Transport & Infrastructure.
Minister Constance spoke about the next generation of initiatives in the transport sector and the way that we need to think about both policy and delivery in different ways. Touched on:
- Transport as technology
- Smart motorways
- Transport as places or hubs driven by value sharing
- Disruptors driving behaviour change including uber and driverless cars
- Innovative responses to regional transport requirements including localised, personalised services.
He said it is about linking change to the outcomes.
Our Executive Chair, Kathy Jones, thanked the Minister for his presentation and lively participation in the following Q&A session. Kathy is also the Deputy Chair of the Warren Centre, so was also able to tell the Minister that the book “Rosie Revere Engineering” was to be forwarded to Bega Valley Public School, in his name.
