KJA are very pleased to announce Program Director Sara Wilson will join the Property Council of Australia's NSW Planning Committee for 2019 - 2020, following a successful nomination process.

The NSW Planning Committee, which is one of 15 run by the Property Council in the State, is tasked with championing "reforms to improve the efficiency of the NSW planning framework together with reviewing strategic planning documents and draft environmental planning instruments."

Positions on each of committee were subject to significant levels of interest. Nationally, the Property Council received over 3,000 nominations for open positions and individuals were chosen in order to ensure the optimum diversity, expertise and renewal on each committee.

Sara leads the KJA Urban and Regional Development business unit which provides strategic communications and stakeholder engagement services to a range of clients in the property and development sector. Prior to joining KJA, Sara led a team of stakeholder engagement specialists at the NSW State Government's urban renewal agency, UrbanGrowthNSW, where she supported project teams working across Greater Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast and in the Illawarra. Sara will bring over 25 years of experience and expertise to the committee which will convene early in the New Year.

Reacting to the news, Sara said: "I am looking forward to joining the Council's NSW Planning Committee and supporting the very important work it undertakes, particularly in the run up to State elections.

New South Wales is facing a number of planning challenges in the face of a growing population, changing demographics and dramatic shifts in the way we live and work. I am pleased to be able to contribute to the Property Council's work in developing workable solutions to tackle future planning challenges."
